Commissary Requirements

To become a member, you must meet and adhere to these requirements.

Food Permits

All Members will need to obtain a food permit from the Department of Agriculture for food businesses that package food and sell retail or wholesale.
or
DBPR for food trucks, food carts, or caterers.

  • This permit can be obtained after a rental agreement with our kitchen has been signed and a commissary letter has been issued.

  • Members are expected to actively pursue permitting immediately upon signing their membership agreement. Failure to make reasonable progress toward permitting may result in cancellation of membership at the kitchen's discretion.

  • Members will not be permitted to use the kitchen until the permit has been issued.

  • Membership fees begin when the membership agreement is signed and a commissary letter is issued. Membership fees are not dependent on permit approval and are non-refundable while permitting is in process.

  • The kitchen address may only be used while an active membership is maintained. Upon cancellation, suspension, or termination of membership, members must immediately remove the kitchen address from all permits, licenses, registrations, and business records. Failure to do so may result in legal action.
